How to Make Time for Fitness
Here’s the thing. We were made to move. Moving each day, INTENTIONALLY, will change your life. I also understand being crunched on time. So here are some tips for you on how to take care of your body so you feel your best while still living and enjoying your life.
Start with a 10-minute commitment
You don’t need an hour at the gym to make a difference. Commit to just 10 minutes a day—whether it’s dancing in your living room, a power walk around the block, or 20 squats & 20 push ups. The consistency builds confidence and momentum.Incorporate “movement snacks” throughout your day
Movement doesn’t have to be a formal workout. Try adding mini bursts of movement like 10 squats after bathroom breaks, stretching while watching a show, or taking the stairs instead of the elevator. These little moments add up to big wins for your body and mind.Pair movement with joy
Ask yourself: what type of movement makes me feel good? Whether it’s a dance class, yoga in the park, or walking with a friend, prioritize activities that feel fun—not like punishment. Joyful movement makes you more likely to stay consistent. For example: a coffee walk with a friend or a walk after dinner with a family member.
Focus on strength over shrinking
Shift the goal from weight loss or calorie burning to building strength, energy, and resilience. Try adding resistance training 1–2 times a week (even bodyweight exercises count!) to feel empowered and strong in your skin.Ideal split will look different for everyone and depends on which phase of your cycle you are in!
Make movement a celebration, not a chore
Reframe movement as a way to celebrate what your body can do, not something you “have” to do. Put on your favorite playlist, wear clothes that make you feel confident, and approach movement with gratitude for the body you’re in today.
